NovProfessor Feng Shizheng, born in January 1974, is a member of the Communist Party of China. Currently, he is Vice President of Renmin University of China and a member of the standing committee of the university’s party committee. With a doctoral degree in law, Professor Feng is also a distinguished professor in the prestigious "Chang Jiang Scholars Program" under the Ministry of Education. Additionally, he actively engages in various professional associations and holds leadership roles in organizations such as the Chinese Sociological Association and the Beijing Sociological Association.
His primary research areas include political sociology, organizational sociology, social transformation, social governance, state construction, and political order. He has authored several monographs, such as "The Rebirth of the Redistribution System - Institutional Changes in Jiecun", "Social Governance and Political Order in Contemporary China", "Theoretical Research on Western Social Movements", and "A New Blueprint for Social Governance". Additionally, he has been recognized as a young scholar in the Ministry of Education's "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program" and the "Chang Jiang Scholars Program", as well as the "Hundred Talents Project" in Beijing's New Century Social Science Theoretical Talents. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Beijing Distinguished Social Science Research Award, the Beijing Outstanding Teacher Award for College Teaching, the Fok Ying-tong Education Foundation College Young Teacher Award (Research Category), the Baosteel Outstanding Teacher Award, the Beijing Higher Education Outstanding Teaching Achievement Award, the National Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, and the Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievements Award, among others.
