Introduction of Song Zheng:
He is currently a professor of economics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, a distinguished scholar of the School of Social Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, a director of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Tsinghua University's China Economic Research Center, and an outstanding visiting professor at the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University. His research field is China's economy and macroeconomics. He has published papers in the top economic journals American Economic Review and Econometrica. His thesis "Growing like China" won the Sun Yefang Economics Award and the Outstanding Paper Award of the Chinese Young Economist. Prior to joining the Chinese University of Hong Kong, he was an associate professor of economics at the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. His academic part-time job includes co-editor of China Economic Review, deputy editor of Econometrica and Journal of European Economic Association, and member of the Academic Committee of the Contemporary Economics Foundation.
