AugThe vision of Chinese modernization in a country under the rule of law not only follows the general laws of modernization, but is also the product of China’s own traditions and national conditions.
First, Chinese modernization in a country under the rule of law is the modernization of socialist rule of law as the country’s fundamental system. “Chinese modernization is socialist modernization under the leadership of the Communist Party of China”. It is a special form of modern society, namely, socialism.
Second, Chinese modernization in a country under the rule of law is a modernization nourished by Chinese civilization. The distinctiveness and continuity of Chinese civilization have, at the most fundamental level, shaped the internal mechanisms of a country under the rule of law. Over the course of five thousand years of evolution, the unique Chinese conceptions of justice, morality, and governance regarding the state have profoundly influenced today’s construction of a country under the rule of law.
Finally, Chinese modernization in a country under the rule of law is modernization that faces specific and objective constraints. This means that the building of a country under the rule of law must necessarily rely on constructive rationality and careful planning, rather than taking a purely spontaneous path of development.
