Jia Wenshan: China defines new globalization with its characteristics
When I first coined the term "Chiglobalization" in 2009, it was a visionary concept inspired by Niall Ferguson's concepts of UK-led Anglobalization and US-led Ameriglobalization along with the successful 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Eight years later, the concept of China-initiated globalization is materializing, and the definition is more valid and reliable than before.

Xu Qinhua: The B&R Energy Cooperation Progressing and its Geo-economic Implications
The regions along the B&R are the "hearts of the world", as suggested by the geopolitical scientist Mackinder, and they include the countries in Central Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and West Asia; these regions are also the rim lands proposed by Spykman, and they include the Southeast Asian countries along the "Silk Road Economic Zone". Both definitions refer to the broad areas for which marine and overland powers will fight hard and which also make up the composite zones of land power and sea power.

Jia Wenshan: Belt & Road Forum, a global dialogic mechanism for worldwide connectivity
The Belt & Road Forum in Beijing China, which is scheduled to take place on May 14 and 15, 2017, would symbolize the initial formation of a global dialogic platform on the part of the Chinese Government together with the stakeholders and interested parties to deepen cooperation on the Belt & Road Initiative. Nie Huihua: A new area of experiments and hopes
Apart from accommodating “non-capital functions” of Beijing, Xiongan New Area can also explore a sustainable development path that strikes a balance between maintaining economic growth and curbing property prices, as well as protecting the environment — which, in other words, is the new normal of moderate but sustainable and eco-friendly economic growth.

Jia Wenshan: From online to offline, meanings and implications of the first face-to-face
The long anticipated first face-to-face meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and the US President Donald Trump will eventually take place at President Trump`s private resort Mar-a-Lago in Florida, USA on April 6 and 7, 2017. Preceding this meeting were a couple of phone calls and several pieces of correspondence between Xi and Trump since the election of Mr. Trump as the 45th President of the US. Such off-line exchanges back-grounded by a chain of good-willed meetings, mutual visits and exchanges between the diplomatic aides of Trump and the diplomatic aides of Xi, have laid a solid foundation for this upcoming face-to-face meeting between the two heads of state. This Xi-Trump meeting is naturally the next logical step in the development of the US-China relations. Three questions may hover on the minds of readers: 1) What does this meeting mean? 2) What implications does this meeting have? 3) What may and may not get accomplished?

Just as the title of his article to the Australian media "We want to work with you for progress and peace", the visit of Premier Li Keqiang is answering the question "what China and Australia can do together to cope with questions of growing uncertainties and disorientation" and "to turn challenges of our time into historic opportunities, contributing the impetus needed for China-Australia relations and the world to move forward".

Wang Xiaosong: Will US-China trade conflict under Trump be fierce?
US President-elect Donald Trump challenged China frequently on trade area. The rationales of Trump's trade policy are "Call out China", "Keep Jobs in America" and "Shrink Trade Deficit". Specifically, Mr. Trump will declare China as a currency manipulator, end China's illegal export subsidies and lax labor and environmental standards, and lower U.S. corporate tax rate to keep American companies and jobs here at home.
