DecOn December 10, 2018, China Internet Integrity Conference with the theme of “internet integrity promote better life” was held in Beijing, the conference was co-organized by the China Federation of Internet Societies (CFIS) and China Internet Development Foundation (CIDF).
Liu Liehong, Deputy-director of Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission and Deputy-director of Cyberspace Administration of China, Ren Xianliang, Vice-chairman of NPC Social Construction Committee and Chairman of CFIS, Zhang Shouying, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of People’s Daily, Ma Li, President of CIDF attended the conference and addressed respectively.
At the conference, Chen Zhen, the research fellow of National Academy of Development and Strategy at Renmin University of China (RUC NADS) delivered a speech on behalf of the research group. China’s first report on China E-commerce Integrity Development, a brainchild of RUC NADS and CFIS was released.
The report first summarized the progress been made in Chinese e-commerce integrity system construction over the years. Government, e-commerce enterprises, and the society as a whole have played their roles in establishing and improving the credit system and environment in various ways. However, many problems and challenges in transaction, after sales service, product quality and false promotion are still need to be addressed.
Finally, the report proposed several suggestions on enforcing the construction of e-commerce integrity system, to improve the integrity cultural system, to strictly follow and implement the E-commerce Law, to promote the technological innovation of cyberspace governance, and to strengthen the credit building of e-commerce platforms.
More than 200 audience from all walks of life including government, internet enterprises, internet societies and media participated in this activity.
