Xinhua News interviewed Lin Shangli, Deputy to National People's Congress (NPC), and President of Renmin University of China (RUC) and dean of RUC National Academy of Development and Strategy to share his opinion about solving the needs of 1.4 billion people through the Two Sessions.

As a scholar of political science, Lin Shangli believes that the system of the National People's Congress of China is an organic combination of the fundamental theory of Marxism, the long-term exploration of socialism and China's reality. It is a modern, democratic system created by the Chinese themselves.
