Febhttps://en.ruc.edu.cn/detail/2835.htmlThe delegation of the National University of Uzbekistan (NUU) visited Renmin University of China (RUC) on Jan. 24th. The delegation is led by Inom Madjidov, Rector of NUU.
Zhang Donggang extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by Inom Magdiyev and introduced the history and development of RUC. He expressed that both RUC and NUU are committed to the development of national education and the cultivation of high-level talents. The two universities established the 'Belt and Road' and 'New Uzbekistan' Development Strategy Coordination Research Center in October 2023, and have carried out fruitful cooperation.
Zhang Donggang hoped that both sides would jointly build the cooperation research center and fully leverage the strengths of faculty and students to conduct academic and policy research on major issues of common concern to China and Uzbekistan, and to provide a demonstration and support for cultural exchange, mutual learning, and regional studies in Central Asia.
Inom Madjidov expressed gratitude for the reception at RUC. He expressed great anticipation for organizing joint research by experts and scholars from the two universities on major issues related to the development of China, Uzbekistan, and the global community, as well as the coordination of the 'Belt and Road' and 'New Uzbekistan' Development Strategy Coordination Research Center.
Inom Madjidov also hoped that RUC and NUU could actively promote in-depth cooperation between the two countries in education, scientific research, humanities, and other fields, allowing the achievements of Chinese and Uzbek civilizations to benefit the people of both countries and continuously injecting vitality into the well-being of the people of both countries.
Zheng Xinye, Vice President of RUC, Lin Chen, Director of the Office of Research and Executive Dean of the National Academy of Development and Strategy (NADS), Song Yang, Deputy Director of the International Office, Di Dongsheng, Dean of the Institute of Area Studies, Xu Qinhua, Vice Dean of NADS, and Liu Xu, Vice Director of the Institute of Russian, Eastern European & Central Asian Studies, RUC, also presented at the meeting.
