MayIndustrial upgrading is a necessity for China to escape the "middle income trap", which requires a continuous decrease of industrial proportion and increase of service industry. Speaker Profile: HUANG Qunhui, Director and Research Fellow of Institute of Industrial Economics of CASS, enjoys the State Council Special Allowance as high-level personnel. His research focuses on Industrial Economy and Enterprise Management. He published over two hundred academic papers in Social Sciences in China, Economic Research and other journals and over 30 independent or collaborated works. HUANG presided over a key program supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China and many important programs of provincial level. His achievements brought him awards such as Sun Yefang Economic Science Award and China National Book Award.
