Xu Qinhua: Renewable energy Guide People to Future

The general office of the State Council issued the Development Plan for the New Energy Vehicle Industry (2021-2035) on November 2.The plan sets out five strategic objectives, the main objective of which is to reduce the average power consumption of electric vehicles to 12 kW/100 km and to increase the share of new energy vehicles sold to 20% of total vehicle sales by 2025. Professor Xu Qinhua has given her viewpoints on it:

Professor Xu pointed out that China's new energy vehicles have entered the third stage of development, under the current background of structural adjustment of development of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the requirements for the construction of ecological civilization, as well as the need for China to play its role as a responsible big state to the world and its pledge to attainnet zero carbon emissions by 2060. Chinese government is playing a more guiding role.By setting targets through policies, the invisible hand of the market becomes more and more effective. In this case, new energy vehicle would reacha period of explosive growth.

"For energy aspect, China has basically fully opened up its upper, middle and lower streams of the energy industries, and will continue to open up to the outside world in the future, rather than taking a conservative and closed manner. The whole electric vehicle and new energy vehicle industry is in the process of development, the practitioners need to learn from each other in terms of technologies, and these technologies need a broad market to apply. "

“currently, government policy mentions that it will increase the layout of electric charging facilities. This shows that Chinese governmentnot only look at the problem from the angle of transportation structure adjustment, but it combines it with industrial energy issues to make overall changes, including in the field of new energy vehicles. ”
