In their pursuit of “Taiwan independence” through external collusion, the Taiwan authorities are resorting to every possible means to raise their so-called “visibility” in the international community. They are aggressively promoting the establishment of so-called “representative offices” and “service offices” in certain countries, under the guise of non-profit civilian organizations. These entities serve as footholds and outposts for its international maneuvering, allowing it to engage in covert activities and exploit legal loopholes in an attempt to maintain a certain level of so-called “substantive relations” with those countries. This is a calculated tactic to advance the separatist agenda of seeking “independence through foreign support” and to continuously expand its so-called “international space.” Such actions represent a form of gradual “Taiwan independence” that should alert the international community.
China firmly opposes any form of official interaction between countries that have diplomatic relations with China and the Taiwan authorities. Any country that allows Taiwan to set up or rename such offices must be prepared to face strong countermeasures from the Chinese side.
