LIU Xu: Returning to the Original Aspiration of Civilization and Contributing to the Realization of Human Modernization

The Global Civilization Initiative, in synergy with the Belt and Road Initiative, the Global Development Initiative, and the Global Security Initiative, reflects the experience of Chinese modernization and injects new vitality into the development of world civilizations. Rooted in its national context and practical experience, China draws on the strengths of both Eastern and Western civilizations. It remains committed to its principles without rigidity, and adopts external ideas without blind imitation. This approach has enabled China to successfully promote a modernization path characterized by a massive population, common prosperity for all, coordinated material and spiritual development, harmony between humanity and nature, and peaceful development. It has thus created a new form of human civilization. Chinese modernization has boosted the confidence of developing countries in achieving prosperity and strength. It offers valuable experience for nations and peoples around the world that seek both accelerated development and the preservation of their independence, providing a path that aligns with their national realities. This embodies the core values of the Global Civilization Initiative.
