[CGTN]TU Yongqian: There is Full of Hope in the Cooperation Between China and Philippines

The cooperation between China and Philippines in trade, tourism and infrastructure is coming back to the right track.

CGTN spoke to Tu Yongqian, a research fellow with the National Academy of Development & Strategy at Renmin University of China.

-- The relation between China and Philippines has become worse after the incidents on the South China Sea, but Duterte made a lot of efforts to ease relations between the two countries after taking office. In the past two years, cooperation in trade, tourism and other aspects of the two countries are returning to the right track.

-- I believe that the cooperation between China and the Philippines will become closer and closer in the future. Duterte is committed to the development of infrastructure after taking office, and believes that China-Philippines cooperation in this area will be enhanced.
