LIU Qing Featured on CCTV’s “Focus Report” Program to Interpret the Challenges and Achievements of China’s Development During the 14th Five-Year Plan Period

On July 11, 2025, Professor LIU Qing, Executive Dean of the National Academy of Development and Strategy at Renmin University of China, was invited to appear on CCTV’s “Focus Report” program in a special segment titled Extraordinary 14th Five-Year Plan Period: Weathering Storms to See the Rainbow. He provided an in-depth analysis of the challenges and achievements of China’s development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.

LIU Qing noted that China’s development achievements during this period were hard-won, accomplished amid a highly challenging environment. The steady progress of China’s economy can be attributed to two key factors. First, there was strong top-level planning, for example, the 14th Five-Year Plan laid out comprehensive and well-structured strategies. Second, China had an effective implementation mechanism, ensuring that various policies were thoroughly carried out. Looking ahead, LIU Qing expressed strong confidence in the future, believing that the prospects for the 15th Five-Year Plan period will be even brighter.
