AprLi Wei is currently a full professor at the School of International Studies, Renmin University of China (RUC). And also, he is the director of the Center for Economic Diplomacy, RUC, and a senior research associate at the National Academy of Development and Strategy, RUC, which is a top think tank in China. Prior to joining the faculty, he gained his Ph.D at Fudan University in 2009. Li Wei was a visiting scholar at Japan’s Institute of Developing Economies (IDE) in 2019, Cornell University during 2015-2016 and Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies based in Hawaii in 2010. His research interests include International Political Economy, American Studies, and China’s Foreign Policy. His newest book is Battles for International Institutions: the Sino-US Relations in the Era of Strategic Competition, which was published in 2017.
