Liu Qing

Liu Qing, Ph.D. in Economics, is the Executive Dean and Deputy Director of the Academic Committee at the National Academy of Development and Strategic Research at Renmin University of China. He is a professor at the University's School of Economics, a member of the Academic Committee of Renmin University, and a member of the Academic Committee of the Economics Department. He also serves as the Director of the International Economic and Financial Research Center. His main research areas include the world economy, international trade, multinational investment and mergers, enterprise innovation, and China's economic development. His academic research has been published in top Chinese and international journals, including Journal of International Economics, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Public Economics, and Journal of Comparative Economics. He is the principal-investigator for major projects funded by the National Social Science Fund and has led several National Natural Science Fund projects, as well as dozens of projects for different ministries and local governments. He serves as the Vice Chairman of Chinese Society of World Economics, an expert in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's 15th Five-Year Plan expert committee, a member of the Liaoning Provincial Government Decision-Making Advisory Committee. He is also the Associate Editor of the Asia Pacific Journal of Accounting & Economics (SSCI) and an editorial board member of the Journal of International Trade and Economic Development (SSCI). Liu has received numerous awards, including the Ministry of Education's 9th Outstanding Achievement Award in Scientific Research (Humanities and Social Sciences), the Best Paper Award from the Academy of International Business (AIB) in 2015, and the Anzi-Jie Paper Award (three times), as well as the Ministry of Commerce's Business Development Research Achievement Award. In recent years, over 30 of his policy research suggestions have received feedbacks from governments. He has been featured in media interviews with outlets such as People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, and News Broadcast.
