1st Biweekly Policy Analysis Meeting Successfully Held

On the morning of June 12, 2024, the 1st Biweekly Policy Analysis Meeting, hosted by the National Academy of Development and Strategy of Renmin University of China (NADS), was successfully held online via Tencent. This policy analysis meeting, themed“Developing New Quality Productivity to Advance National Strength”, focused on the application and prominent manifestations of new quality productivity in digital technology, energy, trade, economy, and public diplomacy. Thirteen professors and experts from Renmin University of China were invited to engage in in-depth discussions from a multidisciplinary perspective, elucidating the profound logic contained in the concept of new quality productivity, providing insights to support high-quality development, and accelerating the formation of new quality productivity to contribute to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. The meeting was simultaneously broadcast live on platforms such as Phoenix Net, Sina Finance, Beijing Daily, Baidu, and the NADS Weibo account, attracting an audience of 520,000 viewers.

The opening speech of this policy analysis meeting was delivered by Wang Yi, Vice President of Renmin University of China. The event was moderated by Wang Lili, Deputy Dean of NADS and Professor at the School of Journalism and Communication.

Participants included Liu Qing, Deputy Dean of NADS and Professor at the School of Economics; Huang Shisong, Senior Researcher at NADS and Director of the Center for Aging Industry Research; Xu Qinhua, Deputy Dean of NADS, Professor at the School of International Studies, and Executive Dean of the Eurasian Research Institute; Tao Wenzhao, Deputy Dean of NADS and Professor at the School of Marxism; Wang Wen, Executive Dean of the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies; Lin Jian, Researcher at NADS and Director of the Center for Social Systems Engineering; Chen Yongjun, Researcher at NADS and Professor at the School of Business; Zhang Yunfei, Researcher at NADS and Professor at the School of Marxism; Zhang Di, Researcher at NADS and Professor at the School of Journalism and Communication; Han Donglin, Researcher at NADS and Professor at the School of International Studies; and Cheng Xusen, Researcher at NADS and Professor at the School of Information.

The “Biweekly Policy Analysis Meeting” is a high-end policy exchange platform created by NADS at Renmin University of China. It aims to promote the construction of NADS’s high-end think tank platform characterized by “new platforms, extensive networks, interdisciplinary integration, emphasis on intersection, innovation promotion, and high output” from the perspective of public policy analysis and exchange. It focuses on major issues in the fields of politics, economy, society, culture, ecology, law, security, unity, diplomacy, and party building, bringing together high-quality academic resources both inside and outside the university to conduct research on public policy and institutional innovation and provide “Solutions of Renmin University of China”.
