Background: President Xi pointed out clearly on his speech of celebrating the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up that we should advance our strategic, dialectical and innovative thinking, put effort into macro planning and top-level design. We should remain question-oriented, focus on critical disparities and problems facing China’s development and improve the feasibility of reform decisions. A powerful country is not only strong in economy and military forces, but also in its ideology and public opinions. It has become the imperative to develop the innovative capacity and strategic communication of China’s new think-tanks. Currently, the development of the internet is promoting media convergence, bringing changes to public opinions and the ways of its dissemination. With the approaching of the age of omnimedia, China’s think-tanks is facing new challenges and opportunities on strategic communication.
In this context, we offer an invitation to experts and talents in the field of media, academy and think-tanks to join us and discuss the topic of “Think-tank Construction and Strategic Communication in the Age of Omnimedia”
