Zhejiang Government Delegation Led by Che Jun Visited RUC NADS’s “Exhibition of National Top Think Tank Achievements”

On March 11, 2019, Renmin University of China (RUC) and Zhejiang Provincial Government signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, promoting sustained and deep cooperation on major projects including cooperation between think tanks, personnel exchange, scientific research, and cadres training.

During the visit, Che Jun, Party Committee Secretary of Zhejiang Province and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress, Yuan Jiajun, Deputy Secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Zhejiang Province led the group to pay a special visit to NADS’s “Exhibition of National Think Tank Achievements”. Moreover, the two sides discussed particularly about the preparation for the building of the Zhejiang Branch of National Academy of Development and Strategy, RUC.

Chen Jinbiao, Member of the Standing Committee, the Secretary-General, Huang Jianfa, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of Organization Department, Cheng Yuechong, Vice Governor, and Jin Nuo, Party Committee Secretary of RUC, Chairwoman of NADS, Zhang Jianming, Executive Deputy Secretary of the RUC Party Committee, Wang Liming, Managing Vice President of RUC, Wu Fulai, Deputy Secretary of the RUC Party Committee, and Secretary of RUC Discipline Inspection Commission, Wu Xiaoqiu, Vice President of RUC, Zheng Shuiquan, Deputy Secretary of RUC Party Committee, Yan Jinming, Executive Dean of NADS and Director of RUC Research Department were in the accompany.

Yan Jinming introduced to Che Jun, Yuan Jiajun and the delegation that NADS is a new type of think tank with Chinese Characteristics that RUC built by pooling all the resources and talents from the university. As one of the first batch of 25 "China Top Think Tanks", RUC NADS strives to become a new Chinese think tank with international influence, and serves for national development strategy and social progress.

Secretary Che Jun expressed his congratulations on RUC NADS’s outstanding achievements, and hope that the cooperation between Zhejiang government and NADS will further drive forward the high-quality economic and social development of Zhejiang.

At the end of the visit, Chairwoman Jin Nuo, on behalf of the Renmin University of China presented the delegation with a series of RUC academic works including NADS “national top think tank research studies”. Jin stressed that at the crucial period of promoting high-quality economic development in Zhejiang, this framework agreement is of great significance. RUC will carry out the implementation of building Zhejiang Branch of RUC NADS according to the agreement, opening a new chapter of academic and local government cooperation and exchanges.
